Fresh plaster usually takes 5 to 7 days to dry fully, depending on room temperature, ventilation, and thickness of the plaster. We always recommend waiting until the plaster turns a light, even pink colour before applying any paint. Start with a mist coat (a watered-down emulsion) before applying your final coats.
